Radka Grohová hails from Horní Nová Ves and moved to Brno in late 2017 to study at the Faculty of Education at MUNI. Since then, she has made Brno her home. Alongside her work in education, she is passionate about music, poetry, dance, and visual arts. She specializes in verbal and movement improvisation, which she incorporates into her performances in Slam Poetry. In 2021, she competed in the Czech Slam Poetry Championship.

Radka also works with words while recording podcasts for the Fakescape association and writing texts. She currently plays the bodhrán and sings with the band Lichočar, the dance company Démáirt, and the theater company Gakusei Kjógen. As part of Slam Poetry, she has performed in several cities across the Czech Republic. For her, improvisation is second nature, and she sees it as a skill applicable in all areas of life—personal, professional, or artistic—when working with creative materials, her own body, voice, and musical instruments.

At FolCon, Radka will lead an improvisation workshop and, together with Alžběta Volčíková, teach children’s lessons.
